Visited Rooftops as we were attending a family wedding nearby. Lovely little find, the views from the property are stunning. Very hospitable hosts (and neighbour's), felt right at home.

Stayed for a long weekend visiting family for a 70th Birthday. The property is in a beautiful location with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Liz and bill who manage the property were excellent, always available to answer any questions and super friendly. The property was very clean and everything was in working order. The food and drinks on arrival is a fabulous touch; kids loved the homemade brownies!!!... Anyone who is thinking about booking this property i would highly recommend. I would definitely stay again. Thank you for a great weekend.

The house was in excellent condition it was very well equipped throughout with a welcome pack of goodies. Fantastic views with the open plan for the six of us it felt very spacious there was a large enclosed garden for the dog. The views across Braunton towards Appledore and the sunsets were great. It was a lovely place for our family and our granddaughters first holiday.

The property was beautifully clean and well presented and equipped.  The garden and views were stunning.  I can't think of any improvements I would want to be made.  Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

A very good week although the weather not as good as last May but can't control weather.  We had a good week, ate too much and drank too much!  Hopefully back 2025.  Braunton Bowling Club very welcoming to the 2 oldies!

We had a great stay.  Really liked the house and views.  Appreciated the touches like soaps and welcome box.  Beautiful views.  We had a lovely time in rock pools, body boarding, fishing and painting pots.  What a lovely place.  Hope to visit again!  Thank you.

We have had a wonderful stay at Rooftops for the second time!  Yet again everything perfect and, although the weather wasn't on our side, we still managed to have lots of fun.  Only thing we won't miss is the drive.

Beautifully kept home, spotless, with well thought out extras all included.  Spacious enough for large family groups, including a dog!  The views were amazing, especially sunsets.

Had a truly wonderful stay.  Great house, loved the velux balcony, a real added bonus. Lovely welcome pack - thank you. Would love to return, if you could just improve the access lane, a foot either side would be great!!!

Had the most magical few days.  Surfed all day at Croyde and Saunton Sands and then collapsed here at Rooftops with family and friends.  It's been fantastic.  Thank you

What a week!  Rooftops has been absolutely perfect for my family.  It has been a lovely home with everything we have needed.  In a great location and fantastic house keepers, amazing beaches, walks and town all around.  Thank you Rooftops.

We've had a fantastic holiday!  Rooftops is an amazing holiday house, very clean, stunning views, thank you for the wine and goodies!  Beautiful beaches, recommend surfing lesson at Woolacombe Bay. We also cycled the Tarka Trail - a definite must do!  Crabbing at Appledore (lovely little old village).  Braunton Burrows sand dunes were fantastic, never seen anything like them!  Fabulous carvery at The William's Arms just down the road (served every day) and Squires for the best fish and chips!  We will miss this place, some wonderful memories made.

Lovely place but the narrow entrance was a problem especially after dark.

Had a great time.  Rooftops provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay.  Great views across Braunton.  Easy access to the wonderful beaches.  Even managed a park run at Woolacombe!  Lovely location, tricky driveway with large car. Otherwise can't fault our stay.  Thanks Rooftops.

Rooftops is a lovely spacious house in a great location, perfect for a family get-together. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped for self-catering. First class in terms of cleanliness and the helpful property managers. We were also delighted to find a wonderful welcome pack waiting for us.
The access to the driveway is certainly tricky, the smaller of our three cars had no difficulties but the Nissan Leaf and Renault Scenic found it very tight to get into, so some drivers might prefer on road parking.

We have had another lovely stay at Rooftops and this time we broke the record of 61 and got 71 crabs! (at Appledore). Thank you for our welcome pack. Written by Oscar

Such a wonderful place to stay. The light and airy feel is lovely plus the terrace with the views stunning. Walking distance to all the amenities you need. Yes the driveway is tight. I have a mini clubman and I managed to get down the drive ok, wing mirrors in.

Lovely clean property in great location with amazing views. The cleanest property we have stayed in with everything we needed for our stay. Perfect location, easy to walk into Braunton or a short drive to the Burrows, beach & other local attractions.

We had a lovely stay at Rooftops over the past few days. The space was super clean, airy, and comfortable for 4 of us plus our dog. We made full use of the terrace since we had such beautiful weather and our dog absolutely loved running around the large garden! Braunton was a lovely town and only 5 mins walk away, with Saunton Sands just down the road (a beautiful beach)! The housekeepers were super helpful during our stay too. I would recommend Rooftops to anyone. Thank you for a very special stay.

Really lovely house, very clean and comfortable. Beautiful and very spacious garden and patio. The house was extremely well equipped with lots of lovely extra touches. Very helpful and responsive host and lots of great local recommendations in the house. Wonderfully clean and equipped house for the family to get together (dogs included), large social areas inside and outside. Rooms are all lovely in decor and comfortable. Liz & Bill were very helpful (via WhatsApp) during our stay. Rooftops is in a great location, views to Appledore and walking distance to the shops. We mainly drove to Braunton Burrows & Saunton Sands for the dog walks as the beach is dog friendly all year round. Great location for sightseeing south or north of Braunton. Two out of three cars managed the driveway fine, the larger car was a bit tight but once the drivers got used to it, they managed fine, just need to take a wider angle to line up straight. Probably not suitable for low bumper cars due to the bump at the top. The only thing we noticed the circular chair was a bit uncomfortable not sure if is meant to tilt or if is broken. Or if it was something we were not used to. The dining chairs inside and outside could do with some seat cushions but we did use the many choices of cushions from the sofas.

Lovely property, spotlessly clean.  Amazing views.  Made good use of outdoor space because of fantastic sunny weather!  Very well equipped with everything we needed for a fabulous family holiday (4 adults 3 girls and a cockapoo!).  Hope to return

Great property managers and welcome pack. Wonderful views which I imagine are more spectacular in spring and summer. Good secure garden for the dogs and excellent outdoor seating area making the most of the garden and views with easy access from the house. Shame we didn't get to enjoy the benefit of it being the depths of winter.

Had a pleasant stay over Christmas 2022. The property was spotlessly clean and we found the housekeepers friendly and helpful. The accommodation is light and airy, the kitchen is large and well equipped, all bedrooms are good sizes and offer plenty of storage. We found the sitting room slightly smaller than expected and was a bit of a squeeze for all 6 of us to sit comfortably, but the sofas are super comfy and the wood burner was fab. The garden and terrace are very nice and having parking for 3 cars was great.

We had a fantastic week, the property is superbly maintained and well stocked. It worked really well for young and old. Bill and Liz are the best and were really quick and dedicated in responding to the two asks we had. I didn't realise how fab the beaches are too. We had our dog and she loved it in Oct, if you time it for rain showers it's a great time of year, no crowds. Braunton has lots of options as well. Recommend rising sun pub in lynmouth too. This is our second stay at Rooftops and we have had an amazing week.  We loved crabbing at Appledore and we caught 61 crabs!  Hopefully we'll be back next year. 

We loved the light, airy coastal feel to this property.  The children enjoyed the well-stocked games cupboard and the garden.  We liked the veranda with bi-folds, the view and the ease of feeling like we were in a home from home.  We can't find fault with this property.  We think you have done an amazing job!

Lovely accommodation.  Very clean, wonderful views, had a lovely week's holiday.  Won't miss the driveway lol!  Would love to come back again.  Watermouth Castle a great day enjoyed by us all and the Tunnels beaches. Thank you

Possibly the cleanest property I've ever stayed in. Very practical home for our family with two toddlers. Very comfortable with lovely views, lots of natural light and a very big sociable space. We really did have a great week.

 

Myself and 5 friends stayed at this accommodation for my birthday and I really recommend it as it was the best birthday I've ever had, really easy to get around and the local towns and beaches are really beautiful ! So definitely a place to consider again !

We came for a family event so to have such organised clean beautiful accommodation was one less thing for us to worry about The beautiful views and calm environment were appreciated by all our family young to older ! The support communication and information pre stay was excellent. Hope to stay again when more time to appreciate the local area

Well equipped property with fantastic views across Braunton, to the dunes and beyond to Appledore if it's a clear day. We were visiting family who live in Braunton and the property was in a great location for an easy walk into town. Great that it was dog friendly too - our spaniel loved the secure garden to run around in. The log burner was a huge bonus and helped when  we snuggled down after a day out. I'm sure we'll be back to stay again. Thank you.

We had a great stay at Rooftops. Great location. The narrow access road is very tight. We managed to get one car down it but not the other. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Very close to Saunton Sands and Woolacombe beaches which were beautiful. Good communication from the property managers. Overall, a great stay.

Lovely chalet bungalow, very well presented, immaculate and well equipped. A real home from home and extremely comfortable. Couldn't fault the accommodation and we had a lovely family get-together. The weather was amazing for an October holiday and we made good use of the terrace. Will definitely visit in the future as such a good location for day trips and visiting the many lovely beaches. Only issue was the very tight driveway to the property, if you have a large car this can be a bit of a challenge.

The house is beautifully equipped with everything you need - all furnishings are comfortable and kitchen equipment is of a very high standard. Lovely open plan and spacious so great for a family and the location is superb.

We had a fabulous week here at Rooftops, great facilities, great location and a great big comfy chair that everyone fought over! We had great fun horse riding, surfing and spending the rest of the week recovering from achey legs! Would recommend Saunton Sands (beautiful beach), Clovelly (beautiful little fishing village) and the George Inn does pretty good food too. All round a fantastic trip, thanks for such a great place to stay! Would love to come back x

We had a lovely week at Rooftops enjoying the lovely location and amazing beach Saunton Sands.  We came with our 15 week old puppy who enjoyed the lovely walks. Our week was spent long hours surfing and sunbathing.  Thank you for such a good holiday!

The facilities and house in general were excellent and the service from the cleaner was always prompt and friendly. The access to the house is tight but it's all good fun and an experience if nothing else! The house is very well equipped and the open plan living space made for a great family holiday.

Would recommend website describes the entry to the property better. Less experienced drivers will definitely struggle - not just with the width of the lane but the turning into it is very difficult.

The house is dog friendly & completely dog secure with a fantastic large garden for both children & animals. The house is superbly well equipped & the owners have thought of everything you would need to make your stay comfortable & enjoyable. We hired in a hot tub which was set up on the sun deck - with the help of Rachel at Croyde Holidays (who was exceptionally helpful!). House was immaculately clean & very Covid safe.
The log burner is a fantastic asset & perfect to relax infront of to enjoy the wonderful views below. Ideal for families or couples wanting a bit more room. The kitchen has everything you need to cook & there are a handful of places that also deliver food to you.
Access to the house is down a narrow lane, we had a medium family car - if you take this steady & approach with caution this caused us no issues whatsoever.

Just wanted to say thank you for the lovely birthday treats you left for me at Rooftops!  It's been a rubbish year to have a 50^th birthday but you made my much needed trip away with the family feel super special.  We had such a fantastic relaxing time at Rooftops.  What a beautiful house.  It was just perfect for our needs.  The weather was amazing as well so we had evenings on the decking playing cards with a nice glass of red.  Hope you and the family are doing well in these strange times.  PS: we'll be back to Rooftops

We have just returned from a lovely week in Devon. Location was central for exploring North Devon. The house was beautiful and stylish with a lovely sized garden. Felt very welcoming

Absolutely beautiful property would highly recommend. Ideal location for getting around to visit different places. Very spacious & spotlessly clean. I can't recommend this property enough. Nearby to local shops / restaurants & beaches.

The house has everything you could need and we have loved playing games at the table with the fire on in the background.  Really looking forward to coming back again xx

Pros: - Beautiful living space - Easy access to beaches - Good Communication from managers - Well presented - Great patio area Cons: - Narrow Driveway - Not a problem but not for people with large cars who aren't confident drivers - Noise - open plan layout means noise travels around house 

The information prior to arrival was helpful and accurate. I had high expectations and it didn't disappoint. Comfy beds, good pillows, nice bed linen, spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen and a lovely log burner we could use which was perfect for our wet October weekend. A short walk from good restaurants in Braunton (recommend the riverside). Perfect base for a weekend away in North Devon for my friends (group of ladies aged 30-40). I would happily stay here again. Thanks for a lovely place to stay.

We have had a fantastic time during our third stay at Rooftops.  A wonderful house for a family holiday.

Rooftops is an amazingly well presented home, offering comfort and convenience for everyone. The kitchen has everything in it that you would at home - loved the Dualit Kettle and toaster! The bifold doors opening onto the patio make outside eating so easy - the deck becomes just an extension of the kitchen/diner. The upstairs bathroom has a shower and separate bath, which is deep and comfortable - always loads of hot water! The drive is fine if you approach it dead straight - have someone see you down if you are worried (we were in a BMW X3). Lots of room for parking and turning next to the house. The house keepers do a brilliant job in keeping it sparkly clean - thank you, one of the best rentals we've stayed in for a long while!

The house is beautiful and we got a lot of use out of the balcony and barbeque! We would recommend Crow Point (our favourite beach), the fish and chip shop next to the butchers on the high street, also Braunton Burrows for a lovely walk.

We all have truly enjoyed our stay at Rooftops. We don't want to leave! As previously mentioned by numerous guests, the facilities at Rooftops have been great. We would recommend the beach hut hire on Saunton Beach and Ilfracombe Aquarium for the kids on a rainy day. Riverside Café and Squires fish shop - delicious food! Goodbye Rooftops - not forgetting the challenging driveway!!! (sorry had to mention it) ☹

We loved the bifold doors giving loads of outdoor space.  Ideally located to visit Croyde, Woolacombe, Saunton beaches.  Fish and chips from Squires was a must, also an enjoyable meal at SQ bar and restaurant.  Room for three cars to park, bit tight down the lane but accessed with caution.  Fantastic holiday for our family of 7, would love to come back another year.  Thank you  ����

JUST PERFECT. The bedrooms, the showers, kitchen packed with everything you would ever need. Great Toy/DVD cupboard. Great garden. Ample parking. Near enough to walk to shops and restaurants. THE VIEW!!

Rooftops was well located with a fantastic view across this North part of Devon. The access to the property was very tricky due to the narrow driveway but once accessed did not pose a problem. The house was well equipped and nicely presented, our only comment would be the open plan design with its downstairs bedroom with bunk beds means you have to creep around if you have young children with you as we did. We loved the garden which was nice big area to play. Overall we would highly recommend this property and would come here again for a holiday.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here, the place is really pleasant and comfortable and a great location! The kitchen is completely kitted out with everything you need to cook for the whole group which we used on both nights, however is a short walk away from a couple of really nice restaurants and pubs. We will definitely be returning!

Rooftops is a very comfortable house and very well situated for all holiday needs, however the approach access is challenging in the extreme, and judging from previous comments in the visitors book we weren't the only ones to scratch our car. There are only inches on each side as you drive down. Thank you for the wine some milk in the fridge would be useful as well. We enjoyed our holiday but certainly didn't think it was as good as it's sold.

My family and I spent 7 days here a couple of weeks back and had a lovely time. The apartment although not easy to find was absolutely gorgeous. Very homely and cosy - perfect for families. There were 6 adults (including myself) and one 9 month old who all had an amazing holiday, although the glorious weather probably helped I would not say no to this holiday home even in terrible weather. The holiday home is around a 5 minute walk from Braunton town so is within easy walking distance; this will save you taking your car out from the very narrow driveway if you’re just going in to town. There were 4 bedrooms (so plenty of space) and two upstairs of which had amazing views looking out. There were 2 bathrooms both fitted with rainfall type showers which again was amazing. There was a lovely suntrap of a balcony overlooking the rather large garden where we spent some time. The only thing I would stress is to be very careful when going down the driveway as it is very narrow but the owners do explain this to everyone before you stay here. Just so you get an idea of commodities there’s plenty of places to eat in town but also a co-op food store in town and a Tesco just a 5 minute drive away so there’s plenty of places to get supplies from as and when you need them. For most things you will need to drive out of Braunton but there’s some lovely towns nearby. Overall the apartment was amazing and we all had a lovely time - it’s a shame that the hot tub wasn’t available in the summer as that would have been a nice little extra but I can’t really fault the experience of our family staycation. Thank you.

We all enjoyed the weather, sea and the family friendly beaches. Nice place to explore and a short walk into Braunton to pootle round the shops have a cuppa and let the children play on the park. A fantastic week was had by all helped especially by the warm and sunny weather. The house had everything that we needed and was enjoyed by all. Lovely days spent by the sea at Woolacombe, Croyde (Baggy Point National Trust). We’ve enjoyed spending time in the garden and watching the sun going down on the patio. We would definitely return.

Easy to contact & prompt with emails. The property was spotless! Very well organised & the property manager was very helpful!! Brilliant stay. Very clean, great homely feel & spacious! Beautiful views. The house was beautiful and exactly as pictured on the site. Spotlessly clean and the décor was to a high spec. Loved the log burner although it wasn’t cold enough to need it but it had to be done! It was our daughter’s 6th birthday whilst we were here and the added touch of card and birthday banners was lovely. The views were lovely and sunset watching is recommended. Saunton Sands is so lovely, must visit! Local walks are good, kids park not far. Great weather for early November. We had the doors open and carved pumpkins! The only thing we can suggest to make “Rooftops” 100% complete would be a hot tub on the decking. Can’t wait to return. Thank you for having us!

Really loved the house. Loved the area, went for walks every day. So many walks could and should have been done – so we will be back . We liked the views, the woodburner, the well-equipped kitchen. Great place for a couple or for families – both works! Went to Noel Corston’s restaurant as a treat for our anniversary – loved it. Really enjoyed our stay!

Rooftops is a spacious, well maintained house that is in a great location for exploring North Devon. Lots of 'little touches' that made us feel welcome and helped to enhance our stay. The garden is perfect for dogs and there is plenty of space for games and eating al fresco.

Living in Braunton we were in need of accommodation for friends. Wow! What a find! Rooftops is beautiful. Everything you need for a chilled out weekend. Stunning views and the perfect house for a get-together. Thank you so much. We will be recommending to others.

 Showers fab, great garden, love the bifold doors, Its a beautiful house in a fabulous location and we really enjoyed our stay. Lots to explore, great central location. Aggie steak nights was great and made the dog welcome. Had a great bike ride along the Tarka Trail - Hired bikes from a friendly shop in the village.  Excellent house to stay in, I would definitely stay here again. Everything seemed so smooth, from booking the holiday, the payment of the holiday and the stay there. we couldn't believe how spotless the house was. So clean and fresh! I would definitely recommend. Couldn't have asked for more. Excellent house to stay in. Ideal location for a few restaurants, and short drive to the min beaches.  Everyone loved the upstairs balcony and cuddle chair was the best seat in the house. (1st coffee in the morning and last glass of wine enjoyed here every night!!!) Quite a houseful but what a setting- Couldnt of asked for more!! Perfect setting/base for exploring, Penny enjoyed Saunton Sands and walks at Mortehoe. Good family meal at The Aggi (Just down the steps) But the best night out was at the Custom House in Barnstaple. We will definitely be back! Marsha Brown and Family

 We came to Rooftops for a weekend of surfing and walking for my partners 30th. There were 8 adults and the property was perfect for us all. Well equip and very clean we will definitely be returning. Driveway is a little narrow but don't let this put you off!! It's manageable. Carie Ann  Mitchell

 One of the nicest, cleanest and suitably appointed properties we have stayed in.  The garden was fabulous for the dog, the bi-fold doors allowed you to really make the most of the gorgeous weather and it seemed as though every last detail had been considered... The outside shower, kitchen accessorized with quality equipment and good quality Neff oven and hob, not to mention the fabulous skylight in the master bedroom and viewing deck in the second bedroom upstairs.  Croyde Holidays were really prompt and answered all questions pertaining to my potential booking. The house was in perfect order and was large enough for our family of 8 adults. This house is also a perfect pet-friendly choice. The garden is secure and the flooring means that it can be kept easily clean. Wonderfully light and pristine. The woodburner is also a lovely luxury after a robust walk on one of the many beaches close by. Highly recommend and would definitely rebook. Joanne Norman
